A steady hand and practice, practice, practice!
Remember it’s only make-up, so have fun, and wash it off if you are not successful the first time.
The slanted Eye shadow brush is the best tool to use to help achieve a smooth line.
I find there are two ways to make it easiest to get an even line. Either dot the eyeliner along the lash line and immediately brush over the dots using the slanted eye shadow brush, this will join the dots seamlessly to create one smooth line.
OR.
Use your slanted eye shadow brush with some liquid liner on it, use your lashes as a guide and press the slanted brush along the lash line to create a smooth
line.
Pull up on the brow as you are doing this to get right down into the lashes as close as possible. This will give the eye a lovely definition and accent while also making your lashes look thicker.
If you are still not achieving the smoothness you want, a similar effect can be created using the slanted brush with a dark eye shadow (or Bronze Shimmer Waves using the chocolate stripe).
Simply wet the tip of the slanted brush before application to pick up maximum colour. Then sweep along the lash line, layer colour until you reach the desired intensity. This can be done with any eye shadow colour you have, making your eye shadows much more versatile.
